The visit by Mr. McAdams is part of a larger project that includes a desk review of existing educational policies, curricula, learning materials/textbooks for secondary education in schools in Mauritius. HREA was contracted by the Commonwealth Secretariat to provide technical assistance to the government of Mauritius in order to include human rights education in lower secondary education and teacher training institutes in Mauritius. HREA will submit a report with the results of the desk review and site visits and recommendations to the Commonwealth and government of Mauritius by the end of this year.
